ID Card Not Working

It is important that your SUID card is working properly. If you are experiencing problems with your SUID card, please use the guide below to know what to do if your card is not working properly.

Not working for access to the residence hall you live in

Please contact housing by phone, email, or in person so we can review your residential access settings.

Not working in campus dining locations to use your meal plan or 'Cuse Cash

Dining access issues are typically related to your meal plan enrollment or balance, not the card itself. First, check your meal plan enrollment and balance on the GET app to ensure you are correctly enrolled in a plan and have a balance available. Most of the semester, self-service options are available to increase meal plans if necessary or to add ‘Cuse Cash.

If this does not resolve your issue, contact us if you require additional assistance.

Not working for access to an academic building

Academic building access is given by your academic department or the building coordinator of that building. Students should check with their academic departments, and faculty/staff should check with their employment department if they feel you should have access, but it is not working.

For more information on building coordinators, please visit the building coordinator page. Housing, Meal Plans, and ID Card Services only manages residential access and cannot grant access to academic buildings or other locations on campus.

Nothing happens when I swipe or tap my card at a reader

If nothing happens when you swipe or tap your card (such as no beep or lights change), your card may be damaged. Please bring your card to Housing, Meal Plan, and ID Card Services at 111 Waverly Avenue, Suite 111, so it can be tested for damage, and if necessary, a replacement card can be issued.
