Welcome to Syracuse! If you are a new student starting at the University, a SUID card will be automatically produced once you submit a photo and you will receive that card at the start of your first semester. The ID card office will email you with when/where you will pick up your card. You do not need to complete a form to have your first card issued and you are arriving at the start of the academic year if you submitted your photo on time.
If you have submitted your ID card photo late (after August 10) you must complete the ID Card Services Issue/Replacement Form and select, “first issue” as a card will not automatically be produced after August 10.
New Faculty/Staff/Sponsored Associates
Welcome to Syracuse! If you are a new staff member, first submit a photo , then complete the ID Card Services Issue/Replacement Form and for the issue type, please select “First Issue.” You will be notified via email when your card is ready for pick up in 206 Steele Hall.
Students in need of a replacement SUID may make a request online for a new ID to be made. To make this request, students should visit the ID Card Services Issue/Replacement Form and the $25 fee will be charged to their student account. Instructions on how to pick up your card will be communicated via email. If you have a damaged card, please bring that card with you when picking up your new ID to have the $25 fee waived, you should also select replacing damage card for issue type when completing the form.
Faculty or staff in need of a replacement SUID should visit the ID Card Services Issue/Replacement Form to make a request for a new card to be printed. You will be taken to a Cashnet site to pay the $25 charge via a credit card. Instructions on how to pick up your card will be communicated via email after payment and when your card is ready for pick up. If you are replacing a damaged card (which you need to bring when picking up your new ID) you will not need to pay the $25 charge by selecting the appropriate issue type on the replacement form. If you would like to update your photo on file, you can update your ID card photo but you are not required to update your photo when requesting a replacement card.
When completing the ID Card Services Issue/Replacement Form, here is helpful information on the issue type to select:
- First Issue – you have never had an SUID and you are request your first card to be printed.
- Replacing Damaged Card – You still have your SUID in your possession but the card is damaged and stopped working from typical wear and tear ($25 fee waived as long as you bring in damaged card when picking up your new SUID)
- Replacing Lost Card – You have lost your SUID and requesting a new one to be printed. ($25 charge)
Do not punch a hole in your SUID card, it will damage the card and a replacement card will need to be purchased.
