The people who are part of the Syracuse University Office of Housing, Meal Plan, and I.D. Card Services and the Housing and Food Services Maintenance Zone are united in the goal of providing the best facilities and services to student residents, meal plan participants, and members of the University's community who utilize I.D. card privileges.

Staff of Housing, Meal Plan, and I.D. Card Services consist of 13 employees located at the South Campus Housing Office, room 206 in the Goldstein Student Center, the North Campus Housing Office, room 204 Steele Hall, and the I.D. Card Office, 202 Steele Hall. Housing Office responsibilities include the administration of housing and meal plans, SUpercard purchases, and related financial functions. The I.D. Card Office provides services to over 35,000 active accounts ranging from meal plans and SUpercard FOOD and PLUS accounts, to controlling access to residential, recreational, and some academic and administrative facilities.

Housing and Food Services Maintenance Zone (HFSMZ) operations are headquartered in the Carriage House at South Campus with satellite locations in the North Campus residence halls. HFSMZ employs 90 custodial and 40 skilled tradesmen in addition to 15 managerial and 8 clerical staff. Major functions include housekeeping, daily maintenance, project planning and administration, and the repair and replacement of equipment and furnishings. Through our collective efforts, we provide a clean, secure, and comfortable "home away from home" for a resident population of approximately 7,200 single students residing in 18 residence halls and over 1,000 apartments.

All areas of our organization use methods to continuously evaluate facilities, services, and procedures to assist planning quality improvements. As with all of our endeavors, we hope to expand our accessibility and services to the University community.
